Apple iPhone 13 lineup has been announced on 12 September 2023 and the preorders have to start on 15 September and availability beginning Friday, September 22.

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus

The latest additions to Apple’s iPhone lineup, the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 and the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus have received a substantial boost in performance thanks to the new A16 processor. This upgrade translates to faster speeds and enhanced multitasking capabilities compared to their predecessors. One of the most noticeable changes is the introduction of the Dynamic Island display cutout, a feature previously exclusive to the higher-end iPhone 14 Pro models.

The Dynamic Island serves as a hub for the iPhone’s camera system and depth sensors. It also houses active call notifications, audio playback controls, and other interactive elements. Apple also made an eco-conscious announcement, revealing plans to phase out leather in all its accessories, effective immediately. Instead, the company has introduced FineWoven material for Apple Watch bands, crafted from 68% recycled materials, offering a suede-like texture. Apple is collaborating with Hermès and Nike to create new bands using even more environmentally friendly materials.

The Apple Watch Series 9 starts at $400 for the Bluetooth/GPS model and $500 for the cellular version. It will be available for purchase on September 22, with preorders open as of today.

Apple Watch Ultra 2

Much like the Series 9, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 boasts the advanced S9 chip, along with features like the innovative double-tap gesture, on-device Siri, and the ultra-wideband chip for precise iPhone locating. It goes even further with a remarkably brighter display, reaching up to 3,000 nits. Additionally, users can enjoy a fresh Modular Ultra watch face and new cycling functionalities.

In terms of battery life, the Ultra 2 mirrors its first-generation counterpart, offering 36 hours of regular use and an impressive 72 hours in low-power mode. The design remains consistent with the previous model.

Pricing for the Apple Watch Ultra 2 starts at $800, and preorders are open as of today. The watch will be available for purchase starting September 22.

USB-C AirPods Pro

Apple is unveiling a new iteration of the second-generation AirPods Pro earbuds, accompanied by a carrying case equipped with a USB-C port, a departure from the Lightning connection. It’s worth noting that the AirPods Max and the entry-level AirPods models have not yet transitioned to USB-C.
