The intelligence level of Siri has been improved as it can now offer customized suggestions in Safari, Maps, and Podcast. It can now detect reminder messages in third-party apps also. Siri will be now able to play music, podcasts, audiobooks, and radio with third‑party apps.

Also with latest iOS 13 Siri now uses Neural text to speech that is entirely generated by the software. It sounds much more natural, and puts the emphasis on correct words in a longer sentence.

Reminders reimagined

Reminders also gets a total rework in iOS 13. As you type in reminders, the app will try and guess when to remind you. Siri will which words you want and make them actionable. If there are any names in the reminder, it will remind you about them in Messages.

New Animoji and Customizable Memoji

iOS 13 three new Animoji to iPhone X/XS and iPhone XR: Octopus, Cow, and Mouse. Additionally, iOS 13 makes Memoji more customizable and allows them to be used as stickers in third-party apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, and more.

 

Improved Safari

Safari in iOS 13 gains a download manager which means one can download any type of file on their device. Safari also gains a new start page which provides one with quick access to their favorites, frequently visited, and recently visited websites.

Improved Share Sheet

Share sheet in iOS 13 has one tap suggestions for sharing a photo or document with some who is in the photo. There’s a new actions bar that comes up based on the content.

How do I upgrade to iOS 13?

Before you install any new OS update, and especially before you install a beta, it’s very important to make sure your device is backed up. Apple has a step-by-step guide to backing up your iPhone or iPad; we suggest performing an iTunes backup and creating an encrypted backup.

The easiest way to get iOS 13 is to install it right on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch you want to update.

  • Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  • A notification about iOS 13 should appear and you can tap Download and Install.
  • It can take a while, during which time you won’t be able to use your device, so tap Install Tonight or Remind Me Later if you want to postpone for a more convenient time.

Downgrade from iOS 13 to iOS 12.4

If you are having issues with iOS 13 you can easily Downgrade from iOS 13 to iOS 12.4 following steps below. No matter what reason makes you decide to remove iOS 13 and re-download iOS 12.4 or earlier version,

  • Go to ipsw.me to download the IPSW file for your device.
  • Turn off Find My iPhone on your device.
  • Connect the iPhone to the computer and open iTunes. (Most importantly, put your device into Recovery Mode.)
  • Click on the Okay button to restore your device and Select Restore and Update option on the next popup.
  • Your device will be restored successfully to iOS 12.4 when you see the white welcome screen.
